I missed the
first okra bloom every season i plant them but here's the second one that i actually caught. Okra is to be pinched out when the seedlings are 24 inches tall to promote branching according to the American Horticultural Society... i have all these flower buds on the top of my plants though and i dont have the heart to pinch them off. Should have gotten to that sooner.



 From left to right these are portulaca, zinnia and cosmos. I need to make more flower beds so that i don't have to keep planting in pots, its so annoying. Not to mention that either the pots or the media make a huge difference in the growth of some of my plants as evidenced by...
...these plants right here.
Both of these plants are marigolds sown quite a while ago from seed. As you can see the one in the pot is not only much shorter but is a different color entirely. Even though they were placed in different parts of the yard they got pretty much the same care and lighting conditions. Neither of which have put on any blooms or buds for that matter.
